Sowing Suggestion:
I would suggest sowing Beetroot Detroit 2 Crimson Globe seeds very thinly in drills 3cm (1in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart.
Growing Beetroot Detroit 2 Crimson Globe:
When the Beetroot Detroit 2 Crimson Globe seedlings are large enough to handle thin them out gradually to 10cm (4in) apart. The later thinnings will be large enough to use in a salad. Pull the beetroot when the roots are ½in diameter or larger.
Harvesting Time: June to October
Helpful Hints: The smaller the beetroots the better the quality; in mid autumn lift the remaining beetroots, twist off the tops and use or store in a clamp as you would potatoes.

Cookery Suggestion:
Twist off the beetroot leaves, leaving the leaf base intact. Trim the root. Scrub. Roast for an hour or boil / pressure cook for up to 20 minutes. Also, baby beetroot is delicious grated raw into salads, such as a Beetroot and Fennel Salad with Sage Croutons.
